Closures Continue Through Monday on Westbound I-70 at Vail Pass for Road Repairs

EAGLE COUNTY/VAIL PASS—Crews will continue to perform emergency repairs on a damaged section of I-70 westbound on Vail Pass at mile point 185 on Monday, March 26. Expect delays.

"We worked to make the repair on Thursday before the volume of spring break traffic picked up, but with the storms that moved through on Friday, the moisture content made if difficult for the patching material to adhere to the roadway surface," said CDOT Communications Manager Tracy Trulove. "We will always air on the side of safety in order to ensure the surface will support vehicle travel," she said.
