Update: Single-Lane Closure on I-70 at Mount Vernon Canyon Runs June 11-21

JEFFERSON COUNTY—From 9 a.m. Monday, June 11 through 3 p.m. Friday, June 15, CDOT will close a single lane on eastbound Interstate 70 at Mount Vernon Canyon, between mile points 257.5 to 258.5.

The closure will then resume at 9 a.m. Monday, June 18, with the road reopening at 3 p.m. Friday, June 21. These closures are necessary so crews can stabilize the shoulder in this area that is starting to be undermined by a washout below a culvert pipe.

Variable message signs will be in place alerting motorists of the upcoming closure.
