Paving Operations Set for Highways in Costilla and Conejos Counties
June 1, 2018 - Motorists can expect delays on CO 159 South of San Luis and CO 17 La Manga-Cumbres Passes
SOUTH CENTRAL COLORADO—In June, CDOT will be working on Colorado highways 159 and 17 in south central Colorado
- June 4-30: Crews will be working on a five-mile stretch of CO 159 south of San Luis, and near the New Mexico state line, between mile points (MP) 0 and 5.
- June 11—21: Crews will be working at two locations on CO 17—also near the New Mexico state line—on La Manga and Cumbres Passes. One location is from MP 0 to 1. The second location is from MP 19 to 20.
Travel Impacts
Motorists can expect brief delays, and should prepare for stops and one-lane alternating traffic guided by flaggers and a pilot vehicle. The speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph in the work zone.
CDOT urges the traveling public to slow down and be aware of workers and equipment on the roadway.
