I-25/US 50B Bridge Repairs Require Closures June 3-7

June 1, 2018 -

COLORADO SPRINGS—
From Sunday, June 3 through Thursday, June 7, expect the following closures as crews continue bridge rehabilitation work on the I-25/US 50B interchange:

  • 8 p.m. - 5 a.m.:
    • Crews will close the westbound US 50B on-ramp to southbound I-25, and will detour traffic onto the northbound on-ramp to I-25, to the 29th Street exit. There, motorists can go south on I-25.
    • Expect single-lane closures in both directions of I-25.
    • Speeds will be reduced to 45 mph through the work zone.

This work is part of the $10 million, CO 96 (4th Street) improvement project, which includes intersection renovation, signal replacement, resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation. Work began in July 2017 and will improve surface quality, enhance safety and provide improved pedestrian crossings—including upgrading ADA ramps to current standards. The project is scheduled to be complete in June 2018.
