Expect Lane Restrictions Overnight June 3 on I-25 Between Garden of the Gods & Woodmen Roads

COLORADO SPRINGS—From 9 p.m. Sunday, June 3 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 4, expect single- and double-left-lane restrictions in both directions of I-25 between Garden of the Gods Road and Woodmen Road as crews replacement an impact attenuator.

Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/unforeseen circumstances.

Project Info

CDOT started this bridge and driving-surface preventative maintenace project on 10 bare concrete bridges near the I-25/Rockrimmon interchange to improve safety and ride quality. This project is part of the ongoing CDOT Asset Management/Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program that began approximately 10 years ago to extend the life of the state's bridges to 75 years.

Crews will maintain the 10 bare concrete decks, which are more susceptible to deterioration. The bridge maintenance on the structures will include expansion joint replacement, waterproofing membrane installation, and installing asphalt overlays to protect and extend the life of the bridge decks. Driving surface preventative maintenance and safety improvements will also be addressed.
