Work on CO 96 Bridge over Rush Creek to Start Monday
PUEBLO COUNTY—On Monday, July 16, crews will begin work on the Colorado Highway 96 Bridge Replacement project, over Rush Creek (west of the Lake Pueblo State Park). The project will impact eastbound and westbound traffic between mile points 37 and 39.
The goal of this $1.9 million project is to replace the bridge over Rush Creek with a precast concrete box culvert.
Crews will work on removing the existing structure and installing the box culvert. Additional work will include grading, paving and pavement marking. A detour will be in place from July through September 2018, while crews remove the existing structure.
Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The anticipated completion date is December 2018. This project is weather-dependent, and this schedule may be affected.
