Crews Reopen Eastbound US 24 from Woodland Park to Cave of the Winds

SOUTHEAST COLORADO—CDOT has opened the eastbound lanes of US Highway 24 following a closure due to flash flooding. Both directions of traffic are currently using the lanes in a head-to-head configuration.
Shortly after 5 p.m., crews closed US 24 between Woodland Park and Cave of the Winds due to flash flooding and debris on the roadway. The westbound lanes of US 24 remain closed.
Please avoid of the closure points on US 24. There is no stopping, parking or standing outside of vehicles along the highway shoulder, near the roadway.
