Paving Starts July 12 From US 160 & US 84 to Treasure Falls
ARCHULETA/MINERAL COUNTIES—On Thursday, July 12, travelers on US Highway 160 east of Pagosa Springs can expect multiple closures and lengthy delays as crews begin paving in the area. Travel impacts will be particularly heavy from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at the junction of US 160 and Colorado Highway 84 junction.
For the next few weeks, the four-month project will progress east as resurfacing continues on a 14.3-mile stretch of US 160 from Pagosa Springs, at the CO 84 junction to east of the Treasure Falls turnout. Crews will treat 2.5-inch-deep section of road—including a 1-inch leveling course of asphalt mix to address imperfections, followed by a 1.5-inch overlay of new asphalt.
