LINCOLN COUNTY—On Monday, Aug. 6, crews will begin improving the intersection of Colorado Highway 71 and Colorado Highway 94 in Punkin Center. Work will include overlaying the road with asphalt, installing rumble strips, and improving signage and striping.

Travelers can expect impacts on CO 71 (from mile points from 72.2 to 72.96) and on CO 94 (from mile points 54.16 to 54.80) throughout the duration of the project.

The anticipated completion date is early September. This project is weather-dependent, and this schedule may change.

Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. During operations, traffic will be placed in a single-lane configuration with traffic stops, and the speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph. Flaggers will direct motorists through the intersection.

KECI Colorado is the prime contractor on this $369,787 project.
