CO 60 in Milliken reduced to one lane during the weekday through Aug. 4

MILLIKEN - Milling and paving operations will begin next week on Colorado Highway 60. This work will begin at the intersection of CO 257 and continue east for approximately 1,600 feet on eastbound and westbound lanes of CO 60.

There will be one lane open on CO 60 east of CO 257, with flaggers, alternating eastbound and westbound traffic during the milling and paving operations, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

All traffic lanes will be open at night during construction as well as on the weekends. Work is anticipated to be completed by Aug. 4.

This additional work was not completed with the previous project as this area is in a flood plain. Since the bridges on CO 60 and CO 257 are in the flood plain also, CDOT added this work to the bridge replacement project since there was already a permit issued by Weld County to perform work in the flood plain.

All work is weather-dependent, and schedule is subject to change.

Road and lane closures will continue to be communicated through weekly alerts using CDOT’s email and text alert service, as well as through local media.
