Northern Avenue Bridge Reduced to Single Lane with Flagger on January 11

PUEBLO — The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor Flatiron Constructors, Inc. are reducing traffic on the Northern Avenue bridge over I-25 to a single lane from 8 p.m. Thursday, January 11 to 5 a.m. Friday, January 12. A flagger will be in place to alternate eastbound and westbound traffic flow through the single lane.

This temporary lane reduction is required for the placement of concrete barriers to shift traffic on the Northern Avenue bridge. Traffic will transition to a head-to-head configuration on the north half of the bridge for approximately two weeks.

Following this work, motorists can expect a change in traffic patterns day-to-day while crews work to complete asphalt paving on the bridge. One lane will remain open in each direction.

All work is weather and temperature dependent and the schedule may change based on the weather.
