Southbound I-25 Traffic Moving to new Crossroads Bridge Wednesday Night
LARIMER COUNTY - On Wednesday evening, the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor RL Wadsworth will be switching traffic on southbound Interstate 25 at the Crossroads Boulevard exit to the final alignment.
That’s weather permitting, of course. A plan to move traffic in January was delayed because of weather.
Both the southbound I-25 off-ramp for Crossroads and the right lane on southbound I-25 will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
“We are working diligently to open the new southbound I-254 alignment as quickly and safety as possible given our winter weather conditions,” said CDOT Resident Engineer Chris Boespflug. “This kicks off the final phase of this project.”
EXPECTED TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Motorists could expect 10 to 15-minute delays for the alternating lane
closures of southbound I-25 and the left lane closure of northbound I-25, as crews switch traffic to the final alignment.
Motorists should plan additional travel time to pass through the construction zone. Speed limits will be
reduced in the construction zone for both the safety of the traveling public, as well as construction crews
in the area.
