Work Begins Aug. 6 on CO 66 in Platteville
Aug. 3, 2018 - Sidewalk resurfacing, repairs to provide safer pedestrian use and accessibility improvements
WELD COUNTY—On Monday, Aug. 6, CDOT will begin work at the intersection of Colorado Highway 66 and US 85-Business Route (Main Street) in the town of Platteville to replace the sidewalk. Work will include asphalt patching and installation of concrete pipe.
Project work will occur at mile point (MP) 51.24 and extends approximately 0.02 miles to MP 51.26. All work on the project will be completed by September 2018. Mountain Constructors of Platteville is the prime contractor on this $230,000 project.
Travel Impacts
- Travelers should expect various lane closures in all directions and possible traffic delays in the work zone.
- Typical construction work hours will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend and night work may occur as needed.
- There will be a 10-foot width restriction in place during working hours.
