Rockfall Work on McClure Pass/CO 133 Starts Friday

GUNNISON COUNTY—On Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, travelers on Colorado Highway 133 can expect 15-minute traffic holds and delays and crews begin removing overhanging rocks and improving the drainage along the north side of McClure Pass.
Work, scheduled to be completed by Friday, Aug. 31, will take place in the northbound lane (approximately mile point 45). Crews are removing rocks and repairing guardrail in the same area. On Sept. 4, crews will begin making repairs to this part of CO 133 by applying a protective material to the road.
Travel Impacts
- Work hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Single-lane, alternating travel through the work zone with periodic traffic holds of up to 15 minutes
- Delays exceeding 20 minutes
- A 12-foot vehicle width restriction
- Reduced speed limits in the work zone
