Overnight Lane & Ramp Closures Set for I-25 North Express Lanes Project at 120th, 144th and E-470
ADAMS COUNTY—Travelers on I-25 and Northwest Parkway/E-470 can expect overnight lane and ramp closures next week as crews realign barrier and shift traffic as part of the I-25 North Express Lanes: 120th Avenue to Northwest Parkway/E-470 project.
All work is weather permitting and subject to change. Please plan to add 10 minutes to your travel time to detour around the closures.
Project Info
This $97.5 million project will improve safety, capacity and user choice to a rapidly developing region. Work picks up where crews left off on the previous I-25 Express Lanes project, between US 36 and 120th Avenue, and will extend the Express Lanes to Northwest Parkway/E-470. The project will add capacity on I-25 up to Northwest Parkway/E-470 and construct a new asphalt surface from 120th Avenue to CO 7.
Traffic will be in its final alignment by early 2019.
Construction will take place from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with periodic night and weekend work. Travelers can expect various lane closures in both directions of I-25, as well as periodic ramp closures. Traffic will be maintained during peak travel times throughout construction.
