Sept. 8, 2017
CRAIG/MOFFAT COUNTY—Crews have completed the US 40 Traffic Signal Replacement project.
The goal of this project was to improve the traffic flow in the area, as well as to increase the safety of the roadway for motorists and pedestrians. Crews removed and replaced outdated traffic signals, mast arms, traffic signal heads and detection equipment, and upgraded curbs and gutters at the intersections of US 40 and CO 13, US 40 and Finley Lane and Mack Lane, and CO 13 (Yampa Ave.) and 6th Street.
The US 40 Traffic Signal Replacement project started in December 2016, went through a winter shutdown and restarted in May 2017. Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. was the contractor for this $1.1 million project.>
