TRAFFIC ALERT: Shoulder Work set for CO 145 North of Telluride
LA PLATA COUNTY ― The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing shoulder work along Colorado Highway (CO) 145 north of Telluride, starting next week and continuing through the end of the month. A geotechnical engineering crew will be drilling at several locations in the area to collect ground samples. The work will take place along a three mile stretch of CO 145, approximately two miles north/west of the Society Turn Roundabout.
HIGHWAY TRAVEL IMPACTS: Starting Monday, October 16 through Tuesday, October 31, motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures and brief traffic stops of 15-20 minutes. Work is scheduled Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The traveling public is urged to obey signage and speed reductions through the work zone. Motorists should also be aware of flaggers, maintenance workers and heavy equipment on and along the roadway.
