TRAFFIC ALERT : Maintenance Crews Work Along US 550 Roadside North of Ridgway
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be performing roadside maintenance operations along US Highway (CO) 550 north of Ridgway. Crews will begin shoulder work tomorrow, Tuesday, October 17 with work continuing through the remainder of the week. The work zone is approximately 10 miles north of Ridgway and just south of the Montrose County line.
HIGHWAY TRAVEL IMPACTS: For approximately four days, starting on Tuesday, October 17 motorists may encounter intermittent lane closures and brief traffic stops of 15-20 minutes, during daylight hours. Crews plan to work from the north, started at mile point (MP) 116 on Monday and will continue south for at least two miles to approximately MP 114. Maintenance operations are expected to be completed by Friday, October 20.
The traveling public is urged to obey signage and speed reductions through the work zone. Motorists should also be aware of flaggers, maintenance workers and heavy equipment on and along the roadway.
