Nighttime Closures Begin Tonight on Northbound I-25 Ramp and Park Avenue West Ramp to I-70

DENVER—From 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 through 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, the northbound ramp of Interstate 25 to westbound Interstate 70 will be closed as crews complete work on the I-70 and I-25 Interchange Bridge Repairs project.

From 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 through 5:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, the Park Avenue West ramp to eastbound and westbound I-70 will be closed for repairs and maintenance of the bridges that connect the interstates.

There will be a detour for each closure. Motorists should be prepared to add up to 12 minutes to their commute.

Traffic Impacts

  • From 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18 through 5:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 19
    Northbound I-25 ramp to westbound I-70
    Motorists will be detoured to 58th Avenue, back to southbound I-25 and will reconnect with either eastbound or westbound I-70. This detour is approximately three miles long.

  • From 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19 through 5:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20
    Park Avenue West to east and westbound I-70
    Motorists will be detoured to 58th Avenue, back to southbound I-25 and then will reconnect with either eastbound or westbound I-70. This detour is approximately three miles long.

Project Info

This $4.2 million project consists of bridge deck repairs, expansion joint replacements and new concrete overlay on all nine bridges within the project area. The maintenance-critical project will repair deteriorating bridge decks and expansion devices to help extend the lifespan of the bridges.
