Local Contractors Invited to Annual CDOT Project Opportunities Event
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) along with the Colorado Contractors Association (CCA) and Connect2DOT (CDOT’s partnering agency for small business development), invite area contractors and sub-contractors to an informational session about planned construction work in Region 5, southwest Colorado. This annual “project opportunities” event will be held Friday, November 3 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the CDOT Region 5 Maintenance Facility located at 20581 US Hwy 160 W, in Durango.
The event is open to all current and prospective contractors and sub-contractors that are interested in finding out how to do business with CDOT and other agencies and government entities. CDOT project engineers and representatives from other local agencies will discuss upcoming construction infrastructure projects planned throughout southwestern Colorado. The La Plata-Archuleta Water District; City of Durango; City of Cortez; and Cortez Sanitation will have representatives at the event.
“This is a great opportunity for contractors and subcontractors to get a head start on marketing and networking efforts,” said CDOT Civil Rights Specialist, Kelly Whaley. “We’ll also have a discussion about CDOT’s ADA (Americans with Disabilities) Transition Plan, changes to specifications, and upcoming projects exclusive to ESB’s (Emerging Small Businesses).”
