Daytime Work Returns on CO 95 (Sheridan Boulevard) From 25th to 52nd Avenues

October 20, 2017

Beginning Monday, Oct. 23, crews will revert to daytime hours on Colorado Highway 95 (aka, Sheridan Boulevard) between 25th Avenue and 52nd Avenue in Jefferson, Adams and Denver counties.

Daytime work along CO 95 is expected to occur between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Work will include installing crosswalks and symbols, raising water valves and manholes, and final pavement markings.

Work will begin at 25th Avenue and impact six blocks at a time, moving northbound every two days. Side streets may be closed during work hours where work is taking place, but all closures will lift after work hours.

Since July, crews have been making upgrades to curbs, gutters and curb ramps along CO 95, and completed milling and paving. Work is anticipated to end in winter 2017 on this project.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists should expect single lane closures northbound and southbound during daytime work. One lane northbound and southbound will be open at all times for motorists. Typical hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during working days. Weekend daytime work may occur as needed. There will be a maximum vehicle width restriction of 12 feet through the project zone.
