CO 9 Iron Springs traffic alignment switch scheduled for Monday night

October 12, 2017 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - SUMMIT COUNTY – On the evening of Monday, October 16, CDOT and SEMA Construction will implement a traffic switch on Colorado Highway 9 between Frisco and Breckenridge. Northbound traffic will be moved to the new northbound alignment and southbound traffic will remain in its current location.

Both northbound and southbound traffic will remain in a single lane configuration to allow crews to complete the next phase of work in the median.

INCLEMENT WEATHER CONTINGENCY PLAN – If weather prevents work from being executed on the date listed above, CDOT and SEMA plan to perform the work on Tuesday night, October 17.

Nighttime hours of operation for the traffic switch are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Motorists should expect flaggers on the roadway and temporary delays of up to 20 minutes.

The overall construction completion date is scheduled for late December 2017.
