Project Info
The CDOT US 36 Strasburg project includes: milling and paving asphalt; removing and reinstalling guardrail; concrete work; repairing slab; repairing a bridge; paving curb ramps; adding signage; and striping. This project is expected to be completed by winter 2017.
Construction hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with night and weekend work as necessary.
On US 36, speeds will be reduced to 40 mph in select 55 mph zones. During work, there will be a width restriction of 12 feet on US 36 and I-70M. Crews will avoid working in areas that require width restrictions during harvest. CDOT and APC will coordinate with local residents, especially with farm owners, to determine the beginning of harvest this year.
APC Construction Company of Golden is the prime contractor on this $4.96 million project.
