Project Info
The CDOT US 36 Strasburg project includes asphalt milling; guardrail removal and re-installation; concrete work; slab repair; bridge rehabilitation; asphalt paving; curb ramp and signage work; and striping. This project will improve motorists' safety and is expected to be completed by December 2017.
Construction will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with night and weekend work as necessary. On US 36, speeds will be reduced to 40 mph in select 55 mph zones. During work periods, there will be a width restriction of 12 feet on US 36 and I-70M. Crews will avoid working in areas that require width restrictions during harvest. CDOT and APC will coordinate with local residents, especially with farm owners, to determine the beginning of this year's harvest.
APC Construction Company, of Golden is the prime contractor on this $4.96 million project.
