Improvement Options Developed for the WestConnect Planning and Environmental Linkages Study

Telephone Town Hall to be held Monday, May 22

DENVER—CDOT and the WestConnect Coalition of agencies have developed transportation-improvement options for C-470 between Kipling Street and Interstate 70, and along the US 6/CO 93 corridor between Golden and Boulder.

The groups developed these improvement options as part of the ongoing WestConnect Coalition Planning and Environmental Linkages Study, which is evaluating options to reduce congestion, improve operational performance and safety, and address future transportation needs along the study corridor.

As part of its request for ccommunity input regarding the potential improvements, the project team is hosting a telephone town hall meeting on Monday, May 22 to learn more about the study, the alternatives screening process, and the improvement options developed to date. Starting today, the study website—westconnectpel.codot.gov—will provide more information, including graphics, and four videos presenting a study update and describing improvement options for each corridor segment.

Public comments will be considered during further development and evaluation of alternatives. Public open house meetings are planned for this fall prior to development of study recommendations.
