Improvements to be made at Intersection of US 160 and Sawyer Drive

LA PLATA COUNTY—On Monday, April 3, contractors for the Durango Mall will begin work at US Highway (US) 160 and Sawyer Drive, the intersection at the Durango Mall in south Durango. Crews will be doing construction at the entrance to the mall on Sawyer Drive to accommodate work on lane reconfiguration, sidewalks and signal timing.

The work is expected to be completed by the beginning of May.

Travel Impacts & Access

The public can expect minimal travel impacts while driving in all directions through the US 160 and Sawyer Drive intersection. However: When turning east into the mall, motorists will encounter possible lane shifts and slight delays while driving through the work zone.

Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
