Lane and ramp closures planned between Georgetown and US 6

CLEAR CREEK COUNTY—
The week of June 11, 2017, crews will resume the I-70: US 6 to Georgetown Resurfacing project following a winter shutdown. Travelers on westbound on I-70 should expect delays due to lane and ramp closures between Georgetown and US 6 starting on June 11. Closures are necessary to complete paving.

Traffic Impacts

  • Normal working hours:
    • 9 p.m. Sundays to 6 a.m. on Mondays
    • 6 p.m. - 6 a.m. nights/morning from Monday through Thursday
  • This night work helps to minimize traffic impacts and allows crews to take advantage of the lower traffic volumes.
  • Expect lane shifts and closures through the project area.
  • Wide loads larger than 12 feet will be restricted.
  • Speed limits will be reduced to 55 mph during working hours.
  • For ramp closures, traffic will be detoured to the next exit.
