CDOT Begins Road Improvement Work on US 24 in Western Elbert County
ELBERT COUNTY—On Wednesday, July 5, US Highway 24 will be reduced to one lane of traffic in a two-mile stretch, starting at mile point 350.58 and working east to mile point 356.7, east of Simla.
CDOT and Simon Contractors start phase two of the repaving project in the area. Upon completing paving, crews will install new signs, restripe, and add a shoulder embankment. Commuters should expect delays.
Highway Impacts:
A 15-minute delay may occur. Hours of operations are expected to be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with work expected to be completed by Sept. 30.
