Traffic Signal Operations on 4th Street in Pueblo Set for Feb. 27 - March 3
PUEBLO—On Monday evening, Feb. 27, the traffic lights at 4th Street and Chester will again be operating normally with red, yellow and green light movements in place. Crews will be placing concrete during the day on Monday. Following this work, all traffic-control devices will be removed and the traffic signals will be turned on for the next two weeks.
From Tuesday, Feb. 28 through Friday, March 3, the 4th Street and Bradford intersection will be closed, northbound and southbound. Crews will begin installing new traffic signals and pedestrian crosswalk lights.
This work is part of the $10 million Colorado Highway 96 (4th Street) improvement project, which includes intersection improvements, signal replacement, resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation. Work began in July 2016 and will improve surface quality, enhance safety and provide improved pedestrian crossings—including upgrading ADA ramps to current standards. The project is scheduled to be complete by the end of 2017.
