CDOT Identifies US 24 Improvement Alternatives, Invites Public to March 2 Meeting

Public invited to learn about alternatives evaluation and provide input

COLORADO SPRINGS—
The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) invites the public to a community meeting on Thursday, March 2 to learn about its US 24 Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study, which is examining improvements for US 24 between Powers Boulevard (CO 21) and the Town of Ramah.

The goal of the PEL study is to identify and recommend transportation projects to improve regional and local mobility, improve intersection operations and enhance safety for all users along the corridor. The study is being closely coordinated with local agencies and frequent public outreach, including the first set of public meetings held in August 2016, and stakeholder meetings held in December and January. Using community input, improvement alternatives have been developed and are being evaluated.

Please attend the meeting to review the alternatives evaluation and provide input that will be used to determine study recommendations.
