Motorists to Encounter Road Work at Several Locations Along CO 145 in Southwest Colorado
Dec. 5, 2017 - Brief travel impacts north and south of Telluride
SOUTHWEST COLORADO—From Tuesday, Dec. 5 through Friday, Dec. 8, crews will be performing road work at several locations along Colorado Highway (CO) 145.

Mile points (MP) 24-25, north of Dolores
Geotechnical contract crews will be performing ground drilling and investigating pavement failures for future road stabilization projects.

MP 49-50, north of Rico
Geotechnical contract crews will be performing ground drilling and investigating pavement failures for future road stabilization projects.

MP 50–56, just north of Rico
Crews will be removing potentially hazardous rocks and boulders from the hillside.

MP 71-77, between Telluride Society Turn Roundabout and Sawpit
Crews will be performing shoulder work and drainage repairs

MP 80-84, from Sawpit to the CO 62 Junction
Crews will be performing shoulder work.

MP 107-109, between Norwood and Naturita
Cews will be performing shoulder work.
Travel Impacts
Work will take place from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 5 through 8 at all locations. Motorists may encounter intermittent lane shifts, closures and brief traffic stops of 15 to 20 minutes.
Travelers are urged to obey speed reductions of 40 mph through the work zones. They also should be aware of signage, flaggers, maintenance workers and heavy equipment on and along the highway.
