US 160 Closed Near Chimney Rock, Between Durango & Pagosa Springs

AUG. 24, 2017, SOUTHWEST COLORADO―Drivers on US Highway 160 between Durgano and Pagosa Springs will be detoured today following an 11 p.m. Wednesday closure of the highway.

The detour will reroute drivers onto Archuleta County Road (CR) 175 while law enforcement conducts an investigation in the area. Drivers will use CR 175, which can be accessed by eastbound traffic (heading toward Pagosa Springs) near the Piedra River at mile post (MP) 121.5. Westbound drivers (heading toward Durango) will access CR 175 near MP 123.75.

The road will not be opened until law enforcement authorities complete their investigation. Please watch for warning signs, speed reductions and traffic control personnel in the area.
