Two Days of Closures Set at F Street and 1st Street (CO 291) for First Week of September

SALIDA―During the day on Wednesday, Sept. 6 and Thursday, Sept. 7, the intersection of F Street and 1st Street (CO 291) will be closed as crews dismantle the existing traffic lights. A full closure of the intersection, in downtown Salida, will begin on Monday, Sept. 11 and continue through October.

Travel Impacts

Expect a detour from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. as crews remove the old light signal. Eastbound traffic will use 2nd Street, and westbound traffic will use Sackett. The area will be fully open to pedestrians. Once the light is removed, motorists will encounter a four-way stop over the weekend to accommodate traffic for the popular Salida Fiber Festival. The full closure of the intersection begins on Monday, September, 11.
