CDOT to Attend Tonight’s Sky Sox Game to Promote Smartphone Breathalyzers
COLORADO SPRINGS — Last week, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and BACtrack, a leading personal and professional breathalyzer company, announced a joint statewide effort to equip Coloradans with breathalyzers as a tool to help prevent impaired driving. Tonight, CDOT is bringing breathalyzers to the Sky Sox game to raise awareness about smartphone breathalyzers and responsible alcohol consumption. Game attendees have the opportunity to test breathalyzers and learn about the factors that contribute to Blood Alcohol Content (BAC). As part of the partnership, BACtrack is offering Coloradans a 20 percent discount on a breathalyzer purchase made before the end of September.
When: Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 6:40 p.m.
Where: Sky Sox Baseball, 4385 Tutt Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80922
Why CDOT's breathalyzer campaign coincides with the Labor Day DUI enforcement period, which began Friday, Aug. 18 and continues through Sept. 5. Last Labor Day, seven of the nine people killed in traffic crashes were involved in alcohol-related crashes.
