Ridgway Community Invited to Open House

CO 62 "Ramp Up! Ridgway" project set for spring/summer construction season

OURAY COUNTY—
Crews will resume construction on the Colorado Highway (CO) 62 "Ramp Up! Ridgway" project on Monday, April 24, 2017. The project is designed to make improvements to CO 62, replace storm drains, pave several town roads and make aesthetic improvements to the Town of Ridgway historic business district.

CDOT, American Civil Constructors and the Town of Ridgway will hold a public meeting at 5:30 p.m. on April 17 to re-introduce the community to the construction team and review the upcoming project schedule. The meeting will be held at the Ridgway Town Hall, 201 N. Railroad St. The public meeting will begin with a presentation followed by an opportunity for Q&A.

Those who cannot attend the meeting are encouraged to sign up for construction updates or contact the project team through the project website, the hotline (970-430-0933), or by email at [email protected]

The project was originally slated for two construction seasons with completion set for October 2017. ACC anticipates completing the original scope of work before July; however, talks are underway to add additional scope.

Despite this construction, the town is preparing for an active spring and summer season, including the Love Your Valley Festival in May, the Ridgway River Festival in June and the Ridgway Concert Series on Thursday evenings in July.

The CO 62 "Ramp Up! Ridgway" project is funded in partnership by CDOT, the Colorado Department of Local Affairs and the voters of the Ridgway community who passed a 2014 ballot initiative that increased property taxes and allowed the town to bond for these improvements.
