Improvements on CO 93 South of Boulder Begin May 8
BOULDER COUNTY—On Monday, May 8, CDOT will begin construction on Colorado Highway (CO) 93 between CO 170 (Eldorado Springs Drive) and CO 128. Crews anticipate this work will be completed in June 2017.
Traffic Impacts
- 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.: Traffic will be shifted to the northbound lane starting at CO 170 and continuing south for approximately one-half mile. Flaggers will direct alternating groups of travelers through this portion of the work. Moderate delays can be expected.
- Shoulder closures can be expected throughout the project.
- Speed limits will be reduced to 40 mph throughout the project. Motorists are reminded to use caution when traveling through the construction zone.
About the Project
Crews will be conducting erosion-control work on this stretch of highway, which has been impacted by major storms. Other work will include steel pipe installation, rock check dams at 100-foot intervals, turf reinforcement and re-seeding the area to ensure proper drainage.
The prime contractor for this $169,000 project is All Cowboy Erosion Control.
All work is weather-dependent, and the schedule is subject to change.
