Glenwood Canyon Bike Path Opens Friday

GARFIELD/EAGLE COUNTIES—Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) crews have made repairs and swept the Glenwood Canyon bike path to fully open the gates for through travel beginning tomorrow, Friday, April 7.

Crews monitor the path daily. In the event of inclement weather, or as run off begins, crews will decide whether to keep the path open or enforce closures as necessary for safety.

Cyclists and pedestrians interested in using the path should frequently check the CDOT website for updates. Real-time updates are available on COtrip's statewide travel alerts page. To maintain pathway safety, CDOT reminds cyclists and pedestrians to please obey all warning and closure signs. Cooperation from all users is greatly appreciated.

Updates are also available via CDOT's Twitter and Facebook pages.
