Road Closure on Colorado Highway 6 at Pawnee Ditch South of Merino

MERINO–From 7 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 through 4 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12, Colorado Highway 6 will be closed between mile points 390 and 391 in Logan County.

Local traffic will be detoured to County Road 25, and major truck traffic coming off of I-76 will be re-routed using exits 115 and 102. All detours will be posted with advanced warning. Drivers should expect delays.

The road closure is necessary to install a concrete box culvert underneath CO 6. This box culvert replaces culvert pipe that has failed. Installation will facilitate proper drainage into the Pawnee Ditch as well as protect the roadway.
