Full closure of westbound Meadows Parkway to southbound I-25 on-ramp this weekend

November 8, 2016 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CASTLE ROCK — The Colorado Department of Transportation will close the westbound Meadows Parkway to southbound Interstate 25 on-ramp on Friday, Nov. 11 at 9 p.m. until Sunday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m.

During this closure, crews will remove the concrete pavement, curb, gutter and sidewalk, and will install new concrete to align better with the new westbound Meadows Parkway through lane that is being added.

The purpose of the I-25 and Meadows Parkway project is to provide a continuous westbound lane on Meadows Parkway between the southbound I-25 on-ramp and the southbound I-25 off-ramp. This will help improve traffic flow for motorists traveling west.

This project will include the addition of a 12-foot through lane on westbound Meadows Parkway, shortening the island on the southbound I-25 off-ramp, installing new concrete in all lanes at the top of the southbound I-25 off-ramp, new sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and the relocation of underground fiber optic cables and signal poles on the north side of the intersection.

Motorists can expect right lane closures on westbound Meadows Parkway nightly from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. throughout the project duration. Motorists may use the Castle Rock Parkway as an alternate route.

This project is taking place in conjunction with the Alberta Development project which will add an additional right lane from the I-25 off-ramp intersection to the Castleton intersection. Work will complete at the end of November 2016.
