Weekend Closure: Eastbound Arapahoe Road On-Ramp to Northbound I-25

GREENWOOD VILLAGE—Crews will close the northbound I-25 on-ramp from eastbound Arapahoe Road from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16 to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19. This closure, part of the next phase of construction on the interstate, allows crews to shift northbound I-25 traffic to the east.

Motorists also can expect double right lane restrictions from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. on northbound I-25, from Dry Creek to Orchard roads.

Upcoming Traffic Impacts

• Arapahoe Road will be closed in both directions beneath I-25 from 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 26 as crews complete phase 2 of I-25 bridge demolition.
• Lane restrictions on westbound and eastbound Arapahoe Road between Dayton Street and Greenwood Plaza Boulevard will begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.
• Motorists can also expect lane restrictions from 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23 to 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, and from 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 to 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 on northbound and southbound I-25, from Dry Creek to Orchard roads.
• Keep in mind that all work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Traffic Detour

• The eastbound Arapahoe Road on-ramp to southbound I-25 and the westbound Arapahoe Road on-ramp to northbound I-25 will remain open.
• The northbound and southbound I-25 off-ramps will remain open. However, only right turns will be permitted.
• Please drive slowly, avoid distractions and watch for signage to guide you through the construction area. Alternate routes are advised.

Pedestrian Detour

• Pedestrians will be detoured via the pedestrian bridge at the Arapahoe Light Rail station.
• For your safety, please watch for signage/flaggers to direct you. do NOT walk through the construction site at any time.
