TRAVEL ADVISORY: Westbound I-70 paving on Straight Creek scheduled tomorrow

September 21, 2016 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Commercial truck traffic to be diverted over Loveland Pass for crew safety in work zone

SUMMIT COUNTY—On Thursday, Sept. 22 crews will be paving on I-70 at mile point 207. Traffic will be delineated down into one lane from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Commercial vehicles traveling westbound are required to divert over Loveland Pass. CMV will be alerted on Variable Message Boards (VMS) of the detour route.  Trucks that fail to divert to Loveland Pass will be turned around at the Eisenhower Johnson Memorial tunnel.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS: Delays of 5-20 minutes are expected and the speed limit will be reduced to 45 mph in the construction zone.
