TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Gazex maintenance on Berthoud Pass Tomorrow
September 27, 2016 - North Central/Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) crews will perform final maintenance on the Gazex system on Berthoud Pass from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, which will require up to 30 minute traffic holds in both directions of US 40 between mile markers 247 and 250.
As part of the operation, a helicopter will be used to transport and install recently filled oxygen and propane bottles to the system, checking for leaks and completing final preparations to activate the system for winter.
