Closure of CR 308/I-70 Frontage Road to Downsize and Haul Rock from Rock Slide
CLEAR CREEK COUNTY–The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close County Road (CR) 308 just east of the US 40/Empire exit and just west of the Town of Lawson. The closure is required so Yenter Company and CDOT maintenance can downsize and haul rock from the CR 308 rock slide that occurred earlier this summer.
These closures will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19 through Friday, Sept. 23.
This work is necessary to restore ditch capacity along CR 308 in order to contain potential rock fall from this rock cut in the future. Local businesses and residential access will not be impacted by this closure.
Alternate Route
During this closure, motorists are encouraged to utilize the alternate route of I-70 and Alvarado Road.
