Upcoming I-25 Lane Closures for Bridge Inspections

DENVER—Overnight closures along Interstate 25 from East Orchard Road to Lincoln Avenue are scheduled every Saturday and Sunday from July 16 to August 7 for required inspections of five bridges. Lane closures will be from midnight to 8 a.m.

The lane closures take place as follows:

• Saturday, July 16-Three outside right lanes at northbound and southbound East Orchard Road and Arapahoe Road.
• Sunday, July 17-Three inside left lanes at northbound and southbound East Orchard Road and Arapahoe Road.
• Saturday, July 23-Three inside left lanes at northbound and southbound Lincoln Avenue. County Line Road on-ramp shoulder and off-ramp shoulder.
• Sunday, July 24-Three outside right lanes at northbound and southbound Lincoln Avenue. County Line Road on-ramp shoulder and off-ramp shoulder.
• Saturday, July 30-Three outside right lanes at northbound and southbound East Dry Creek Road.
• Sunday, July 31-Three inside left lanes at northbound and southbound East Dry Creek Road.
• Saturday, August 6- Three outside right lanes at northbound and southbound County Line Road.
• Sunday, August 7-Three inside left lanes at northbound and southbound County Line Road.

Crews will inspect external bolts, welds, girders and more as part of the I-25 RTD Bridge Inspections conducted every two years.

"Closing these lanes will ensure our crews' safety and will allow for a thorough inspection of the bridges," said Paul Jesaitis, CDOT region 1 transportation director. "Inspections are necessary to continue to provide motorists with a safe driving experience."
