Peterson Air Force Base West Gate Closure Set for July 29 - August 1

COLORADO SPRINGS—From at 8 p.m. Friday, July 29 to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 1, crews will close the left lanes of northbound and southbound Airport Road, just off Powers Boulevard (aka, CO 21).

The closures are necessary so crews can widen the intersection and relocate signal lights. During the closures, drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route.

All POV traffic will be diverted to the North Gate (Peterson Boulevard/Highway 24) with any overflow to East Gate, off of Marksheffel Road. All commercial traffic must use East Gate during this time.
