DELTA/MONTROSE COUNTIES—On Monday, July 18, 2016, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will begin replacing an existing undersized and deteriorating culvert on Colorado Highway (CO) 348 in Montrose County with an 8-by-10-foot concrete box culvert. The culvert is at mile point 6.64, which is just south of the Delta/Montrose County line.
The project, under contract with Ridgway Valley Enterprises, has an anticipated completion date of September 2016. Additional work to be performed includes grading, paving, striping, erosion control and temporary traffic control.
TRAVEL AND ACCESS IMPACTS:
Traffic will be detoured around the project site 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the duration of construction. The detour route will be Banner Road to 1500 Road (Delta County)/5400 Road (Montrose County) to B Road. Local traffic is still able to access north and south of the culvert replacement. CDOT and Ridgway Valley Enterprises thank you for your patience and safe driving.
