Due to ongoing construction activity in this area and nighttime travel impacts, alternative transportation modes are encouraged. The additional turn lane (see photo) was phased into the project early, creating more turning capacity for motorists heading eastbound to Arapahoe Road from southbound I-25. It also reduces the potential for delays and back-ups onto I-25. The project team will continue to strategically phase construction to minimize impacts to the traveling public and integrate improvements as soon as possible.

The project team reminds motorists to allow extra time for their commutes, adhere to speed reductions on I-25 and Arapahoe Road, and avoid distractions. Watch for weekly construction update emails with the most up-to-date information regarding traffic impacts.
