Daytime Lane Closures on I-25 under Mesa Ave. Bridge
PUEBLO —The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor Flatiron Constructors, Inc. will intermittently close one lane of northbound and southbound Interstate-25 under the Mesa Avenue Bridge beginning on Thursday, June 30, and continuing throughThursday, August 25. All work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Lane closures are required for bridge repairs and to avoid potential noise impacts at night.
Slight traffic delays are expected and alternate routes are advised.
The I-25 Ilex Street to City Center Drive project is the first project of the New Pueblo Freeway: the reconstruction of I-25 between City Center Drive (1st Street) and Ilex Street through downtown Pueblo. Construction includes upgrading a number of bridges south of downtown. The project began in July 2015, and is expected to be completed in 2018.
