PUEBLO—The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will close I-25 southbound at 9 a.m. between Stem Beach and Colorado City (mp 92 to mp 77) to continue cleanup of a tanker truck crash on Thursday, May 26. The closure will last for approximately four hours.
An alternate route is Highway 50 east to La Junta, where travelers can then take Highway 10 west to I-25 at Walsenburg.
Due to weather in the area, the wreckage could not be cleared on Thursday. The detour route that was used during Thursday's closure is unusable due to heavy rains in the area over night.
