Sign Removal to Squeeze I-70 Traffic

April 7, 2016 - Metro Denver Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - WHEAT RIDGE — The Colorado Department of Transportation needs to move Interstate 70 traffic into a single file configuration near Kipling Street late this weekend to allow removal of a damaged electronic sign board.

Beginning on Sunday night at 9 p.m., the left lane of westbound I-70 will be closed, just east of Kipling Street, followed by a closure of the center and right lanes at 11 p.m., requiring all traffic to use the right shoulder through the Kipling Street Interchange.  The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph through the work zone.

All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
